Love letter to Myself

I was reading in a magazine that you should write a love letter to yourself, it'll make you feel better so here goes nothing..

Dearest Ashley,

I've known you for what seems like forever, yet not long enough. I admire so much about you and wish you too would admire yourself. I love how you have endured so much heartache, loss, and hard times. You still get out of bed (although it may be later in the morning than you should) and you try to live each day as a new day. I admire your deep inner strength (even though sometimes you struggle to use it). I love how you put your children first, have made lots of sacrifices and chosen the best for them (no matter how hard it was for you). I find it empowering that you worked 3 jobs and went to night school, all while pregnant and caring for a 3 year old. You are a rockin' momma whether you believe it or not. Don't let anyone else tell you you're not a good mom, because you are. You do the best that you can and that's all that anyone can do.

I know you are hard on yourself, especially about your body image. Keep telling yourself that you have brought two beautiful children into this world. Not everyone can pay for tummy tucks, personal trainers, nutrionists, and super healthy diet food. You do the best you can with what God gave you, and he gave you a healthy and fertile body with the ability to bear children and not have any major complications. Remember that is a blessing in itself, so many women struggle to get pregnant and to carry to term. Your body may not look like a super model's but it has super human strength and it has all the necessities to nuture children. Sure you might have stretch marks, some cellulite, and extra skin forming a cute little pooch (ok not so cute but whatev), most mommies have this too and it's well worth the reward! You have a wonderful man who loves you just like you are, who loved you after your body had these two children and who said himself that he probably wouldn't have been attracted to your former 115 lb highschool self. He loves the woman and mom you are now. So let go of the dreams of having that highschool body back. You're much better in this new form that you possess and it'll just keep getting better with age! And by the way you still have some killer legs!

The thing I probably love the most about you is your huge heart, the fact that you want to give and give til you can't give anymore and then to keep giving. Sure you can pout when you don't get your way, but 9 times out of 10 you make sure the one's you love have what they want. You are forgiving, you give 2nd chances, and you try to remain patient til the bitter end. You're sensitive and compassionate(although sometimes jealous) and you rarely say a mean word, unless deserved. You may not say how thankful you are all the time, but you show your love and gratitude in ways you know best(helping in subtle ways or baking some goodies). You have a lot to offer and don't forget that! Even in hard times like now, just because you aren't working doesn't mean you are worthless. You are smart and intelligent and the right job will come. You will find that niche where you have always wanted to be and you will be happy in a job where you help others. It will come just be patient.

I love your faith in your loved ones, in God and in mankind in general. Don't lose your faith. You don't need others to tell you that you have no faith because you don't practice a religion. Faith is so much better and stronger. Keep your faith close to your heart and your prayers frequent. God will always guide you down the right path.

I love you for you! So don't forget that!

And here's a song that I love right now, makes me feel happy!!

I've been assigned to be positive..

The Boo made me promise to be positive today after 48 hours of putting up with my pouty brattiness (apparently not a real word, it should be one) he exclaimed, "Tomorrow you have to try to be positive!" So here I am completing my assignment like a good little student! Today has been better and I attribute that to being loved my an amazing man and him making sure I started my day off well with a sweet text message. ("I miss you and I love you very much") Well that made my day!

Not much has happened today..I mean somethings have happened so I feel a little relief about somethings I was stressing over (I know you're probably like, "What the hell is she talking about??" Just "somethings" [ ha ha] that I don't feel like broadcasting to the whole Internet world.)

Also apparently I have been given a blogging award (by the bestie, which I figure has to be because I am her bestie not necessarily because I'm this wonderfully amazing blogger ha..thank you though! KISSES)

So this is the award..

(Yes it does say I am CREATIVE!)

So I am supposed to award 6 other bloggers, post some rules, and other stuff..here's all that..(For once I am following the rules..GASP! I know..)
Here are the rules for this one:
1. Mention the blog that gave it to you and comment on their blog to let them know you've posted your award.

2. Publish these rules.

3. Share six values that are important to you and six things you do not support.

4. Grant the prize to six people.

Six Important Values/Beliefs:
1. Generosity
2. Trust
3. Loyalty
4. Selflessness
5. Tolerance
6. Love

Six Unimportant Values/Beliefs:
1. Selfishness
2. Ignorance
3. Dishonesty
4. (Being) Judgemental
5. Unforgiving
6. Jealousy(to the point of causing hatred)

And I am tagging..
(I realize I have no one to tag!) I mean bestie has tagged the only bloggers(Miss Musing, Lindsay, and JD [who's private blog is somewhere else, I don't have the link right now]) I know! What the eff..I need more blog friends! (depressing..wait no I am positive pauly today so..not depressing, just unfortunate)

I hate practically everything about today..

(Or maybe about my life as a whole..) But today sucks, I'm cold,VERY COLD, and since this is not my house I can't touch the f-ing thermostat. I am lonely.(not in the sense that I am alone, but in the sense that my other half is in the state below me, working and busy and well I am not so busy..) I am broke (meaning I have 10 dollars to my name and bills racking up) I am thinking Christmas isn't going to be so great (because one of my favorite parts of it is giving gifts to the people I love...and well I know I can make stuff but that is going to take A LOT of time just trying to figure out what I can make with my limited means. The bigger reason being that I am lacking funds to bring Bubba out here and my mother announced she's not my built in baby sitter so if I do get a job [read below] I don't know what I'll do with him while I'm at work.) I just feel stressed and anxious to the point where I can't function..(stupid crappy family genes) Is there not a solution to any of this??

The one positive thing to happen today is that I got an interview at a pediatric doctor's office..Don't know if I got the job..we'll see. I do not want to get my hopes up for them to just come crashing down so I'm just pretending the interview didn't even happen. (so it's not proving to be very positive at all) I just feel overwhelmed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't really even get my thoughts out, it's all a mish mash of crap..So I'm ending this..the point of it was that TODAY SUCKS(along with yesterday and I'm sure tomorrow won't be much better)

Eight Wonderful Facts..

So I was tagged to do this by this chick

I am supposed to be telling you 8 things not many people know...so here it goes..

1. I hate clutter, however if it is my organized clutter it doesn't bother me too much and it can be cluttered to a certain point..this point is hard to explain because it's different in different situations. Just know that when the clutter hits that certain point, I freak out and go on a huge cleaning fest.

2. I love to make lists, whether they are grocery lists, to do lists, lists of what I love about The Boo, etc. etc. etc. They make me feel organized and accomplished even when I am not.

3. I like to be reassured whether it's about some craft I made, a food I cooked, a cookie I baked, what I look like, my outfit, my weight, or your love for me. I will ask a million times, the same question from a different angle just to be sure that everything is ok.

4. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas (ok this isn't too much of a surprise to anyone that really knows me). But I do, I love the decorating, the music, the movies, the baking, the eating, the giving, the cold, the cuddling, the wearing red and green. It is just the absolute best time of the year.

5. I already have my wedding dress picked out..I've had it picked out for years now..just waiting for the right one to wear it for. :) (i.e. The Boo)

6. I'm spoiled, I pout and I am a brat when I don't get my way. Now the people that know that and still stick around and love me, are real true people. (love you!)

7. I hate the dentist..I literally get panic attacks just thinking of it..and even during cleanings. I had some cavities filled and one side didn't numb right away and YEA I FELT THAT SHIT (excuse the language..felt it was needed for the emphasis) So since then anything that sounds like a drill (i.e. all the high powered cleaning tools) freaks me out and I move and flinch and close my mouth..every hygenists greatest nightmare!

8. I hate the way my mom does things, yet I do them just like her. For example she'll get mad if someone doesn't do something her way and will end up redoing it and being pissed at that person for not doing it right (read: her way). I HATE this and we fight about it all the time, yet when in my own home I find myself doing it to others..Oh well...just blame it on her..WHAT?!? it's learned behavior!

Ok so there it is...

October 22, 2008

And it just keeps getting better..

Really am I really living this life that I have been living in the past 2 weeks???

The Boo (yes he is officially THE BOO as of Friday) ceases to amaze me...yes, ladies there are sweet, caring, genuine men out there that are attractive, have jobs, and want a relationship. I can only see good things happening with him in my life now. And I cannot wait until the game on Sunday!!! I literally walk around with a huge goofy smile on my face 24/7. I already know where this is taking me and I'm ok with it, because it just feels right.

On the other side of things, tomorrow is the day..the day I tell my little boy goodbye for the longest period we've ever been apart..2 months....I am not looking forward to it, I'm not sure what to expect..I'm sure there will be tears..He always gets upset when it's time to go, but now I will be upset too because I know that he won't be coming back on the weekend..I don't think he really understands that he is moving, I mean he is only 4. And it is probably better this way...

Boots went to the doctor for a checkup. She now weighs 12 lbs 15 oz and is 24 inches at 3 months 19 days...She is really cutting out her nursing..and I can't do much about it either..

Even though I should be really stressed since I have no job and the money is about to run out, I am feeling pretty carefree..I attribute this to The Boo and I know this has to be how life is meant to be lived. Everything will fall into place and will work out, no sense in wasting time stressing and obsessing..I read something on a church sign yesterday.."Feed your faith and your doubts will starve to death." Very true, hard times like these are best dealt with lots of prayer and faith, and loving your loved ones just a little bit more. So this is what I am spending my days doing..
